Problem with Gary Rodriguez, doubtful for the derby with Panathinaikos
The Olympiacos’ fears have been confirmed and Gary Rodriguez, who was replaced by Reabchuk in the Freiburg game, suffered a bicep injury and is doubtful for the Panathinaikos derby.
Bad luck knocked on Gary Rodriguez’s door once again. The attacking midfielder from Cape Verde He was uncomfortably replaced by Ryabchuk in the game against Freiburg.
According to the imaging test he underwent, Gary Rodriguez suffered a minor injury to his left biceps muscle and will be out for the rest of the season.
Notably, the 31-year-old midfielder will miss Olympiakos’ game against Lamia (30/10, 16:00 CET), where he will be protected.
The player has already started to undergo aggressive physiotherapy by the medical team and an individual training program and it is doubtful if he will make it to the derby against Panathinaikos (6/11, 19:30).
In fact, the severity of his injury doesn’t seem to be much of a concern and his condition is being reassessed daily. Rodriguez has made 12 appearances in all competitions this season.
