Karipidis: ‘I didn’t expect shameless results to be changed by VAR, Aris’ goal is the championship’

PAE Aris owner Theodoros Karipidis expressed his displeasure with the referees in his team’s matches in a personal statement as he believes the results are shamelessly altered by VAR.

At the same time, the captain of the yellow and black PAE stressed that Aris’ goal every year will be the championship, while for this season he admitted that mistakes have been made for which the team will pay, which must continue to focus on the goal of the trophies

In detail what Theodoros Karypidis said on PAE Aris official website: “After yesterday’s result, I would like to comment on our team and the efforts that have been made over the years to ensure that Aris is where it deserves in Greek football.

In the summer I raised the bar to a level that corresponds to the unity of our association, but also to my own ambitions. And I still believe Aris should be making championships and winning titles every year! With a budget that can keep up with his income and my family’s participation limit based on FFP.

That should and will be my goal and the goal of Mars every year. Championship. The past two years with the enormous adversity that there was at all levels for all teams were multiplied by us with … fabricated cases that would have sent ARIS back to the … Zahnstein in the past.

We all won because we were on our side. I knew and expected that we should win this year and the mistakes made by some referees. I didn’t expect them to go so far as to shamelessly alter results even from VAR. The only one who supports Aris, even in the most difficult years, is his world. It’s normal for him to be upset about the team’s position in the table, but personally his reaction after the 1-0 draw yesterday showed us which way to go.

Our coach and our players need support from all over the world, support from me too in terms of reinforcement, organization and operation.

Only united against these conditions that have emerged in Greek football can we have an Aris protagonist who will make a league.
