Lamia coach Michalis Grigoriou, in his statements following his team’s defeat by Panathinaikos, claimed that his team’s performance was far from the performances he had made in the previous period.

Michalis Grigoriou spoke about a weak and humble performance by Lamia at the end of the game and his team’s loss to Panathinaikos.

The Greece coach claimed that his side’s performance against the Shamrock was a far cry from his side’s past performances.

First remarks:

“We had a very bad first half. I can’t remember feeling that weak and nervous again. The goal that we conceded from a static phase in the 3rd minute certainly played an important role. So far we have not shown any such signs. Failures were probably to blame, but also the fact that many children do not have a competitive rhythm due to the adventure we have had with the coronavirus, but our team has been far from what they have achieved so far and what we want to see.

We were better in the second half. We went to the match until 82′ when Panathinaikos and Ioannidis essentially ended the match. Now let’s look ahead. We can’t do anything else. The games take place at very short intervals. I also told my players that we don’t have time to be happy or sad. All games are crucial until the end and we look to the next ones…”.

On Tyrone’s injury: “He has a blow in the ribs that didn’t allow him to breathe well. We are also waiting for the information from the doctors.”

For the absence of Lamia: “It’s not just the injuries that appear in the games. It’s also the kids who have come back after the coronavirus and with two or three training sessions trying to find a competitive rhythm and get back to where we left after the game with OFI It’s not easy at all: “They’re working hard to come back. But we have to do it and we have to do it quickly.”
