Diego Biseswar has reached 200 appearances with the PAOK jersey and is one of the foreign players who are a point of reference in Toumba.

Diego Biseswar completed 200 participations in the match with Atromitos with the PAOK jersey. He is fifth on the list of foreign players to have the most appearances with Dikefalos, behind Vierinia (268), Guerino (231), Fourtoula (216) and Varela (208).

Biseswar, who has been at Toumba since the summer of 2016 and took a break in the second half of last season when he was on loan for Cyprus and Apollon Limassol, has scored 27 goals and shared 38 assists with his team-mates.

It is significant that of the 26 games in which Surinamezos have scored, PAOK won 22, drew 2 and lost another 2 for PAOK. The first was with Panathinaikos in Toumba to open the playoffs of the 2016-17 season with Biseswar Tor but the Greens win 3-2. The second was in the only game where Surinamezos scored 2 goals for PAOK against Ajax in Amsterdam for the Champions League qualifiers of the 2019-20 season which ended 3-2 for the Dutch.

That game with Ajax was one of the best Diego Biseswar made, breaking the hearts of his compatriots. That and the cup final with AEK in Panthessaliko, where Biseswar scored the first goal and emerged as MVP by winning the cup.

Biseswar is among the group of players who brought titles to PAOK. The 33-year-old midfielder has won the undefeated championship of the 2018-19 season and 3 cups. He did not participate last year due to his loan spell at Apollon Limassol, while the double’s year was the most productive of his career with 10 goals and as many assists.

The “artist’s” contract, as they call him on PAOK’s social media, expires at the end of this season. At least for the time being there are no discussions about a renewal, which rather indicates the intentions of Dikefalos. What is certain is that Diego Biseswar has already made history in Toumba…
