50% in stadiums tighten margins for police plan for Aris – PAOK
Later on Thursday afternoon, the JMC is due to post which will change fan attendance measures at sports venues. Police operational plan questions that will affect Aris – PAOK.
Health Minister Thanos Plevris announced in the briefing to journalists that the lifting of restrictions against the spread of the coronavirus, which include stadiums, will be implemented from next Saturday, February 19, which automatically means that all his games will be cancelled Weekends can be held in half-full grandstands. Instead of the 10% that is still valid today and a maximum of 1000 viewers.
Among these matches is also the big derby Aris – PAOK (20/02, 19:30) for the Super League Interwetten, which will take place under new conditions, as defined by the joint ministerial decision of Thursday, in front of more than 11,000 spectators.
However, it is questionable that a few days before such a special situation, a race and especially with what has happened in the last few weeks, a new situation has to be prepared in the midst of a very tight time frame.
It always takes the police several days to organize their plan, especially when they have a big derby coming up and now they have to “run” to create a situation that prevents bad events.
