Apollon Smyrnis: “Clattenberg shows his intent to destroy our team”
Apollon Smyrnis issued a statement against Mark Clattenberg, for whom he emphasizes, among other things, that he shows his intention to destroy the Light Brigade by having complaints about the appointment of referee Aristomenis Koutsiaftis in the game with Lamia.
PAE Apollon Smyrni issued a new call against Mark Clattenberg after the call during the game against Panathinaikos.
The Light Brigade has complaints about the appointment of referee Aristomeni Koutsiaftis (EPS Arta) for Sunday’s (20/02) game against Lamia.
The same referee had officiated the match with PAOK in Toumba, for which Apollon had complaints about his refereeing. Among other things, Apollon explains in his announcement that Clattenberg shows his intention to “destroy” the team.
PAE Apollon Smyrni’s announcement in detail: “Mr. Clattenberg shows us his strength and his intention to destroy our team. The appointment of Mr Koutsiaftis for our game against Lamia on Sunday surprised us and posed a big question. He’s the same referee who awarded the two fake penalties against us in Thessaloniki and turned a blind eye to another penalty in favor of our team in the same game.
Apparently, Mr Klatenberg is annoyed with our vote on the non-existence of Mr Evangelos’ penalties and has decided to take revenge by appointing Mr Koutsiaftis, since we had requested his expulsion.
Mr. Clattenberg, your responsibility to the referees that you created and sent to every game is enormous. We ask you to change the referee and use a regular one, because at the first overbearing whistle from Mr. Koutsiaftis, our team will leave the field and the responsibility will fall on you, because you know the problem and you are not solving it, you are continuing public relations“.
