Despite his win, Apollon Smyrnis had complaints about the refereeing in the game against Lamia and issued a new announcement addressed to Clattenberg.

Apollon Smyrnis defeated Lamia 2-1 and scored a significant three points in the battle to remain in the category. The visitors took a 2-0 lead and suffered a penalty from Manousos as the score was reduced.

A punishment for which there were many complaints and protests from the guests. In fact, the Rizoupoli team made an announcement shortly after the end of the game, again addressed to the chief referee Mark Clattenberg, on the occasion of Aristomenis Koutsiaftis’ refereeing performance:

In it he emphasizes:

“How much more exposed, Mr. Clattenberg, with the empathy you show towards Apollon. How many non-existing penalties are still awarded against our team.

All of Greece today saw the referee you sent and “how good the referee was”. We had warned you it would have this power. In the end she did.”
