Lucescu: “Excitement from qualifying will help us against Ionikos”
Razvan Lucescu, speaking on the subscription channel ahead of Sunday’s game against Ionikos, emphasized that although there is fatigue, there is also enthusiasm from qualifying against Midland and he will lead PAOK to three points.
Razvan Lucescu gave “NOVA” his weekly interview with the Romanian coach, in which he spoke about the victory qualification against Midland, the game with Ionikos and PAOK’s presence in three tournaments.
Lucescu knows his team will be tired but noted he also brings the enthusiasm from qualifying and believes that enthusiasm will bring the three-pointer on Sunday.
For consecutive matches and overtime with Midtjylland:
“Psychologically we are very good, there is enthusiasm in the team in general for qualifying, but the hardest thing is to find the right mental approach to the game, but I’m sure this enthusiasm will help us win the game to win .
A difficult night but very important for our whole season. “We have a group of footballers and those who have to play tomorrow have to do their best and fight for this win, which we really want.”
For the match against Ionikos:
“We expect a difficult game, like all games for us in this league. I think we’re dealing with a team that has a different style to ours, it’s a team that’s struggling to stay in the league is a team that’s running, they’re playing with a lot of energy, they’re trying to get in to push the zone where the ball is, what we have to do is have the same energy and react earlier to get the three important points for us”.
For the participation of PAOK in three events:
“The truth is that we are not thinking about the remaining games, but about the next game, in this case the game with Ionikos. It’s very important for us that we’re in all three tournaments that we keep fighting for. Achieving our goals in all three tournaments is something that not many teams achieve, it’s something that can help us, as a group to strengthen, in terms of our mentality, in terms of learning management, something that makes us grow as a team. For now we will say that we have not achieved anything and should continue like this.
In those phases we had the opportunity to play strong games, we played in the cup, with Panathinaikos, with Olympiakos, we had the games with Midland, in general all this situation where the team goes through difficult games and learns how to deal with them play It’s a fantastic situation that we’re always trying to improve on.”
