Olympiakos: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ukraine”
Olympiakos wanted to stand with the people of Ukraine by posting on social media and expressing his desire to end this war as soon as possible.
The sports world has rushed over the last 24 hours to express its support and condolences to the Ukrainian people who have been experiencing the maelstrom of war since the early hours of Thursday (24/2) after Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine.
Olympiacos, in turn, reiterated through a social media post that the club’s thoughts are with Ukraine and wished that this nightmare would end soon.
“In these tragic times our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ukraine. We hope this terrible war will end and there will be peace.” writes the red and white PAE in his contribution.
I have been working as a sports journalist for about 6 years now. I currently work as an author at Sportish, which is a sports news website. I mainly cover sports news and I love writing about all aspects of the sport. I also have experience working as a broadcast journalist, so I have some great insights into how sport is reported and presented.
