Razvan Lucescu told NOVA he hates post-European games as it’s difficult for the team to come together, but he believes the result is fair.

Razvan Lucescu wasn’t happy with Ionikos after the game ended. The Romanian coach explained that he hates the league games after the European Cup games, but he thinks the result was fair.

Details of what Razvan Lucescu said about NOVA: I hate these kinds of games, two days after playing for Europe. We didn’t have a clear head.

Most of the players played on Thursday and we didn’t have a clear head in the final effort. We got into a pace and a style of play very early on that didn’t suit us. A very direct game that suited Ionikos better. We had to control the game better.

In the second half, I don’t remember anything else apart from the goal we conceded. It was a confusing game, but we fought without any substantial result, without inspiration in the offensive third“.

For the triple chance at the beginning of the game: “I can’t be 100% sure but it could have been a more open game and we found more open spaces. If we had scored another goal in the first half, hypothetically it would have been 2-0 and it would have been a completely different game. All in all it was a fair result“.

For the second consecutive draw in the Super League Interwetten: “We are in a transitional period. We are the team that takes first place with the most points in the second round. We are 16 in Europe and in a situation where our mentality plays an important role.

I’m curious to see if more teams do as well as we do in the same situation. With so many games, most points in the second round, injuries, fatigue and the coronavirus that’s also in the equation“.
