PAS Giannina – Lamia 1-0: The Epirotes are helpless, the Fthioti are in trouble
PAS Giannina survived the playoffs despite deducting five points when they beat Lamia 1-0 thanks to Pirsman’s goal in the 44th minute, while Lamia after losing to Zosimades and Atromitos defeating Apollo of Smyrna in Rizoupoli dropped to 13th place.
What if five points were deducted from him? PAS Giannina fearlessly continued their course in the current Super League Interwetten, beating Lamia 1-0 thanks to Pirsman’s beautiful goal in the 44th minute.
The Epirotes were effective for another game as they took one of the few chances they had in the game while completely disabling the visitors in all but five minutes (75′-80′) of the second half and holding their lead in the score to the end.
With that result, and despite their punishment, the Epirotes remain alive for the playoffs, naturally hoping to overturn the Super League Interwetten decision (once the EEC is complete) in the EPA’s Appeals Committee.
On the other hand, Lamia remained in 13th place at Apollo HQ after Atromitos’ victory and is now adventuring to stay in the category.
Balanced the first part
The game was played in Zosimades when it was raining, but unlike in previous years, the pitch was not affected. Both sides came ready to get the ball to their feet and placed menacingly on the two goals, but created few good periods.
In the first ten minutes, both teams had two completely inaccurate shots from Karahalios in the 5′ and Tsoukalou in the 6′. The next final for the guests came in the 22nd minute with Tirone, which ended in exactly the same way.
PAS threatened Snyder through the box in the 29th minute, but Pereas’ pass was clipped by the opposing defence. Piersman was the one who provided the solution for the Epirotes in 44′, with Iraklis Metaxas’ team going in his favor with the lead in the dressing rooms.

He knocked out Lamia and got the three-pointer
In the second half, PAS came into play a little stronger, but little by little Lamia took the initiative and tried to score. However, the first final went to PAS Giannina. Gardavski’s attempt through the penalty area ended in the 59th minute.
Lamia tried to threaten the well-organized PAS team, but to no avail. New signing Martinez came into the box from the left but his shot and Tsoukalos’ shot, which took the rebound, were cut off by Eramouspe in the 62nd minute.

The same fate befell a shot from Bangoura, fired from outside the box a few minutes but Karga failed to let the shot go past Lodigin’s goal with an amazing tackle.
In the 75th minute, the hosts almost doubled their goals. Perea dodged Antezzo nicely and crossed half the field into the penalty area. He shared the right moment with Moreira, who failed to defeat Garavelis at close range, and sent the ball over the body of the Fthioto goalkeeper who conceded a corner with that operation.
Then it was Lamia’s turn to threaten on two counts. Initially at 78′ Provydakis made the cross and Eramuspe couldn’t clear the ball.
It was passed to Beharano, who was narrowly defeated by Lodigin with an excellent operation. Three minutes later, Tsoukalos threatened with a nice shot at Lodigin, who had an answer there too.
In the 81st minute, Perea, with a nice individual energy, made the shot from distance, the ball landing in Garavelis’ arms. Lamia had his chance late in the game, but his shot from a Provydakis foul ended up in the arms of Lodigin, who stayed 1-0 to the end.
