Atromitos beat Apollon 2-0 in a crucial save game that saw four of the hosts’ goals annulled. Chris Coleman, in his statements to COSMOTE TV, spoke about the passion that existed in the game, stressing that something like this only happens in Greece and stressing that it was something unprecedented for him.
Coleman’s statements in detail:
For the game: “We knew it was going to be a difficult game. Apollon was playing at home with a team above him, it was an opportunity for them to get the treble, they gave everything. Apollon played well but we had perfect concentration and I looking forward to playing and winning”.
For never having been to a match like this: “These only in Greece. I have experience in Greece with AEL. It’s a passionate country, anything is possible. Today’s game is a new experience. They live it passionately in Greece. I look forward to my players continuing to play games and have to cope with the difficulties of physical condition”.
