AEK has decided to replace Argyris Giannikis, but the man who will take his place does not appear at the moment. What about Van Sip?

Since yesterday afternoon, the people of AEK have been trying to find Argyris Giannikis’ “release” route, in a way that will ensure a smooth flow of coaching until the end of the season. As Sportish announced today, Dimitris Melissanidis is trying to find a solution, dealing with various cases from coaches. The problem is that so far no one has been found who says yes to the role of “Stuntman”.

In recent years it was Manolo Jimenez who came in the middle of the season to collect the chaos of the previous ones. He is not available now either. AEK has reached an impasse with even cases from technicians like Mantzios or Dellas not being ‘baked’, especially since with the prospect of 12-game service.

So the possibility of sitting on the bench against PAOK tomorrow (02/02, 20:30, COSMOTE Sport 1 and Live Sportish), Argyris Giannikis, is absolutely real. Dutchman John Van Sipp is the one who wants to take over, but with the aim of continuing the collaboration in the summer. When he was offered the job 6 months ago, he didn’t even bother to talk.

AEK’s training session is set for 17.00 CET and it’s still unclear if former PAS Giannina coach will be there. In everyone’s mind it’s “over” but no replacement has been found. Failing that, either Giannikis will be present normally, or the team will decide to go inside from tomorrow’s game, with one of Nikos Panagiotaras or Socrates Ofridopoulos taking the technical lead.

The atmosphere inside and outside of AEK is like a boiling cauldron, there is a clear concern that tomorrow’s difficult game will be played in OAKA and people are very disappointed, and there are many factors to consider for the decision that is made Account. We’ll know in the next few hours.
