After a four-hour session (from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.), on the 5th of the 2022 Council, the members of the Athens City Council voted by majority in favor of the three “Dual Regeneration” contracts. . Namely the two bilaterals with the amateurs Panathinaikos and PAE Panathinaikos and the one tripartite with the amateurs and AEP Eleonas, with which the city administration is “involved” in the project.

The Mayor of Athens, Costas Bakogiannis, presented the plan and the contracts (it was the only topic on the agenda) to the other parties in detail, as he did in the press conference last Thursday (02/24), demanding the maximum possible approval by all factions, with SYRIZA and KINAL sides voting in favor of the renewal plan of all three contracts.

“Today is a historic meeting and it shows the importance of the decision. As you know, we informed the four major groups in detail last Wednesday.
