Socrates Ofridopoulos, in his statements to COSMOTE TV, stressed that his players didn’t have patience in the second half, unlike the first, but the result against PAOK was fair.

Socrates Ofridopoulos was disappointed after the game ended with PAOK as the result wasn’t good for the Union.

The 48-year-old coach thinks his team was better than PAOK but he didn’t have patience in the second half and failed to win in the end.

Details of what Socrates Ofridopoulos said on COSMOTE TV: We are clearly not satisfied. We had a first half where we had the initiative and with 11 but also with 10 PAOK players we had 2-3 good chances. The goal we conceded was a foul. We have not received any pressure in a series of attacks from PAOK.

Today we tried to keep the ball, play more with the midfielders. We had patience and we had some phases.

In the second half we put on a mediocre performance, the 1-1 was a fair result. We had two or three conditions to score, but we weren’t calm like in the first part. The kids tried, we asked for something new one day. At the end of the day we can say that we got a grade that doesn’t make us happy“.

Whether atomic energy was missing during the attack in the second part: In any case, if you’re playing with a player above you, you’ll want to shoot, play from the side, and individual actions. Football requires patience, not haste. Having breadth on the field, playing more as a team and having patience. We didn’t do as much in the second half as we did in the first“.
