Burgos: “I will work to take Mars higher and higher”
Speaking on NOVA’s camera ahead of the Aris-Olympiakos derby, Herman Burgos stressed that he took the pressure off six points while claiming he will work hard to raise the level of the team.
Aris qualified for the CAS, reclaiming the six points and securing his presence in the playoffs. The Yellows meet Olympiakos in the final game of the Super League Interwetten regular season, with Herman Burgos stressing that his goal is to help the team climb higher and higher.
Details of what he said to NOVA:
For six degree pressure: “It was a pressure I knew and decided to take on my back. So I absorbed that six-degree pressure these days.”
On if he thinks he’s lucky as Aris has achieved two victories with his arrival: “I’m a person who believes that the more you work, the happier you are.”
For what he likes about Mars: “We all stand as a fist behind a common goal.”
For the five goals scored by Aris and the zero liabilities: “There’s a lot of quality in the squad, so we knew the fact that the team couldn’t score easily was something that would be resolved. There are some negative currents sometimes that are difficult to break, but with some small ones Changes can come different results.”.
Whether we will see his details in the next games in the Mars game: “That’s for sure. The more time you have to work, the more things will change. We have time now to change things, not just from my side, but also from the perspective of management, of the world.”
For the derby with Olympiacos: “It’s very nice to have a derby ahead of us. We’ll go out there to get the win. I know everything about Olympiakos. My players know how to deal with that.”
For the respect he received in Greece: “I feel it and I will work to continue to have that respect and always be higher.”
