In his statements to COSMOTE TV right after the end of the game, Matias Almeida mentioned, among other things, that nothing was over and that there were still nine games left.
Matias Almeida explained immediately after the match that the game against Panathinaikos was a final and AEK controlled the match better in the second half. At the same time, he stressed that there are nine games left and it’s a team that shows they want to play.
What Matias Almeida said in detail to COSMOTE TV: About the game: “A game that was final. Both teams played a final. In the first half we had three clear phases, both teams shared control of the game. In the second part they had the first action in ten seconds. We controlled the pace of the game better. I just want to talk about it and nothing else”.
For the continuation of the playoffs: “There are nine games left. We have to collect as many points as possible. We’re a team that shows they want to play. We always do that, we feel like playing“.
