Niklas Eliasson on Game Night: “I thought it was a penalty at the time, but I didn’t see the videos”
Speaking to Game Night and Manos Navrozidis, Niklas Eliasson stressed that he didn’t understand exactly what happened in the final phase of AEK – Panathinaikos.
The derby between AEK and Panathinaikos ended in a 0-0 draw. In the final minutes of the game, the referee gave a penalty in favor of the Union, but then took it back with an offensive foul.
Speaking to Game Night and Manos Navrozidis, Niklas Eliasson commented on what happened: “It was hard to see how I was on the pitch to be honest. Things happen quickly, I don’t know what happened, I know Sergio had a pain in his leg.
I thought it was a penalty at the time, but I didn’t see any videos. I think the referees see better. It was an important moment, it was unfortunate, but we’re going to carry on.”
On the continuation of the championship he said: “We believe in ourselves, there are nine games, we will work hard for it.”
