Three new coronavirus cases in PAOK, Derby with AEK is postponed
Three new coronavirus cases have been detected at PAOK and the derby on Sunday (9/1) with AEK in the Olympic Stadium will be postponed.
PAOK announced that today’s inspection that the players were subjected to resulted in three soccer players who were diagnosed with Covid-19. This means that the number of active cases in the team has reached 8 if you take into account the 5 that appeared in the last check before the game against Panetolikos, which was scheduled for next Wednesday.
This means that the league has to postpone the derby on Sunday (1.9.1., 7.30 p.m.) with AEK in OAKA. At PAOK they can continue to train marginally, but the game with AEK has been postponed because the date is questionable.
PAOK continues to have problems with the spread of the coronavirus and an indication of the daily changing dates is the fact that the four players who were diagnosed as positive in the first test after the Christmas break have just returned to full training.
Despite the measures taken in the biceps camp, eight soccer players on the team are in quarantine in compliance with the health protocol.
Because there have already been five cases in the Thessaloniki team, plus the three that have now surfaced have increased to eight and according to the health protocol, the game will be postponed.
