Ioannidis: “I won’t be at the winter championships, let’s continue at the same pace”
Fotis Ioannidis was Panathinaikos’ star player in the 4-0 win over OFI, with the Greens striker citing his development.
Panathinaikos played exceptionally well in the second 45 minutes and beat OFI 4-0, with Fotis Ioannidis scoring two goals. With his statements on COSMOTE TV, the Greens striker emphasized that everyone in his team knew that the road was long.
Ioannidis’ statements in detail:
For the game: “We knew it was a very important game, we were ready to face OFI, we showed it on the pitch, we brought out all our positive aspects.”
In the first minutes: “We know OFI is a good team, we knew how to approach the game, we were patient and with good, direct football we found the spaces we wanted.”
For his immediate play and movement: “We have a great staff, all the analysts are really helpful. I want to improve myself, find ways to be closer to the goal, develop my movement with their help to be close to the goal.”
He then explained: “Also a terrible pass from Yuri, we talked about it before the game. You know, he also takes the passport with his hand. Then I gave myself an assist with the crossbar (laughter).
For Panathinaikos being the winter champion: “I’m not at the winter championships, let’s continue at the same pace, we know the road is long, we have the foundations to develop further.”
