Alafouzos also reports to the sports prosecutor, intervention of Panathinaikos and CAS
On Tuesday (December 5th), Panathinaikos submitted an intervention to the CAS for the well-known case of Juancar’s injury in the derby with Olympiakos, while Yiannis Alafuzos is called as a witness before (also) the responsible sports prosecutor Konstantinos Spyropoulos.
Apart from the competition part, where everyone at Panathinaikos is waiting for the developments after the abstention of the referees, the Cloverleaf maintains a very “active” attitude in the non-competitive area and in everything that happens in Greek football, with Yiannis Alafouzos being called up to the squad in the next few days before (and) the responsible sports prosecutor, Konstantinos Spyropoulos.
The owner of Panathinaikos met with Supreme Court Deputy Prosecutor Giorgos Oikonomou (he is in charge of sports affairs) last month and verbally informed him of his recent interviews abroad and his reports on corruption in Greek football.
Now, as “Kathimerini” reports in its publication, the major shareholder of the green PAE will be summoned in the coming days by the sports prosecutor Konstantinos Spyropoulos, who has taken over the case with the phenomena of corruption and illegal situations in Greek football.
A case involving a total of 5 Super League associations and 13 Super League 2 associations, as well as numerous football players.
The public prosecutor’s investigation into the entire matter, which is at a fairly advanced stage, is expected to “provide” the first results at the beginning of the new year and Yannis Alafouzos is expected to present all the evidence he has regarding unlawful behavior in Greek football.
All of this, of course, comes as a result of yesterday’s (5/12) announcement by PAE Panathinaikos, which sided with the referees when they decided to forego the 14th match after international referee Tasos threatened his life against Papapetrou called on all referees who have been attacked or pressured from time to time to testify at the Areio Pagos, thereby supporting the investigation also launched by Deputy Prosecutor Economou.
In another legal “front” that is underway and will soon be on the agenda, in the appeal of Olympiakos to the CAS regarding the internal injury of Juancar in the left ear in the “eternal” derby On October 22nd, the Piraeus to zero and Panathinaikos won the game 3-0, the “Greens” submitted an intervention to the highest sports court in Lausanne on Tuesday (December 5th) to be “present” in the trial of the case whenever it is defined…
