Luis Guimaraes in Olympiakos’ scouting department at Alves’ suggestion
Pedro Alves wants to strengthen Olympiacos’ scouting department and as reported in Portugal, Luis Guimarães, Moreirense’s sporting director, will take a job with the “red and whites”.
Pedro Alves worked as Braga’s head of scouting for three years (2015-18) before taking up the position of sporting director at Estoril (2018-23).
THE Olympiakos’ new sports director wanted to add another member to the Piraeus team’s scouting department, and as reported in Portugal, this will be Luis Guimaraes.
Luis Carlos Fernandez Rodríguez Guimaraes, his full name, is 31 years old and was sporting director at Moreirense. He started as a scout for Chávez for two years in 2016 and took over scouting duties at Moreirense in 2018.
“Luis Guimaraes has left Moreirense to move to Olympiacos and join the team of Carlos Carvalhal and Pedro Alves.” This was reported by the Portuguese website “guimaraesdigital.pt”.
Olympiakos’ scouting department currently consists of Yannis Theodorou, Simos Havos and Antonio Cordon’s son Jaime.
