EPA: Letter to ministers for meeting with arbitrators
In a statement, the EPO said it had sent letters to the Ministers of Citizen Protection and Sport to hold the meeting with the referees, which was one of the first requests from the Greek referees.
One of the first requests from the Greek referees was to meet directly with government officials or even the Prime Minister himself to express his grievances and concerns.
This only happened on Tuesday (12/12) at 12:00, when an announcement was made that the EPO had sent letters to the Ministers for Citizen Protection and Sport to hold the meeting with the referees.
The corresponding announcement states:
“The President of the Hellenic Football Association today sent letters to the Minister of Citizen Protection, Mr. Yiannis Oikonomou, and the Deputy Minister of Sports, Mr. Yiannis Vroutsis. These letters request a meeting between ministers and a delegation of referees in order to implement a corresponding decision of the professional football committee.”
