Atletico Mineiro have had Gustavo Scarpa in their sights for some time and are said to have submitted a new, improved offer to Nottingham for his takeover, worth €4 million, according to a new report.

Gustavo Scarpa may be a low flyer at Olympiakos, but he continues to keep the Brazilian media on their toes every day ahead of the January transfer window.

The Brazilian striker, who belongs to Nottingham Forest and plays on loan at Olympiakos Piraeus, said in his discussions with the players of the Piraeus team that he wanted to stay with the red and whites until the summer, but with the “sirens” from his side Homeland persevere.

According to the Brazilians, Atletico Mineiro, who have had their sights on the player for some time, have reportedly made a new offer to Nottingham Forest for the striker, who turns 30 in three weeks.

His compatriots claim that Atletico Mineiro have made an offer of 4,000,000 euros to the English club and are waiting for a response within the month.

Two weeks ago it was reported in the English press that the Brazilian team had offered 2,500,000 euros for the transfer of Scarpa, but Nottingham Forest’s demands were 6,000,000 euros, so the offer was rejected.

The Brazilians estimate that the new offer (4,000,000) will not leave the English team indifferent and indicate that there will be new discussions in the near future. By the way, both Palmeiras and Internacional from Porto Alegre are following the case closely.

Let’s keep in mind that Scarpa is tied to a contract at Nottingham Forest until the summer of 2026 and his market value is currently €8,000,000.

The experienced Brazilian striker has played 11 games for Olympiakos so far, while he played 10 games at Nottingham Forest in the second half of last season without scoring or providing an assist.
