The five decisions of the Super League board

The Super League announced its five decisions from the board meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

The members of the Board of Directors expressed their opposition to the two-month closure of the stands in the stadiums of this category in the first meeting after the resignation of Vangelis Marinakis from the presidency, but the matter will be reconsidered at the next meeting, under a new president.

The arbitrators’ request for a meeting with the new administration was approved without specifying the date.

The decision to conclude the cooperative’s collaboration with Mark Clattenberg was announced without Olympiakos being involved in the process.

Finally, the ball for the 2024-2025 season and the game plan up to the 18th matchday were announced.

“During today’s meeting of the Super League Board, the following was decided, among other things:

At the beginning of the board meeting, a letter of resignation from Mr. E. Marinakis was read out.

1. The program for the 14th-18th Matchday of the Stoiximan Super League Championship was unanimously approved.
2. It was unanimously decided to conclude the collaboration with Mr. Clattenberg. PAE Olympiacos did not take part in the proceedings.
3. The PUMA Orbita 1 TB ball has been selected as the official ball of the championship for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.
4. It was transferred to the members of the board. the EPA representative granted the arbitrators’ request for a meeting with the new management of the cooperative.
5. There has been extensive discussion about the government’s recent decision to hold the games behind closed doors. The Board has expressed its disagreement with this decision and will revisit the issue at its next meeting following the election of this new President.”
