The content of the law for the new anti-violence measures

Details of new measures announced on Monday (12/11) against fan violence after a police officer was seriously injured by a hooligan at a volleyball match are included in the Legislative Content Act published today, Wednesday (12/13). .
The content of the law in detail:
Emergency measures prohibiting the sale of tickets and the presence of spectators at football matches for imperative reasons of public order and security.
1. For the period from the publication of this announcement until February 12, 2024, the sale of tickets and the presence of spectators at football matches is prohibited:
(a) From the professional championship of the national men’s category A1 (Super League 1) season 2023-2024,
(b) the Greek Cup and friendlies when the home team takes part in the men’s A1 national team professional championship (Super League 1) of the 2023-2024 season,
(c) the professional championship of the men’s A2 national team (Super League 2) of the 2023-2024 season and in the friendlies, provided that the home team is formed and maintained as a second team (B’ team) Football Corporation (PAE), the in accordance with Article 108B of Law 2725/1999, is a member of the professional association referred to in Article 97 paragraph 1 of Law 2725/1999 (A’ 121). During the application of this regulation, up to ten (10) representatives of each team are permitted to enter the stands of the stadium, provided that the above-mentioned representatives are members of the board of directors or hold a management position in the team. The above figure does not include the officials named on the match sheet. The enforcement of penalties for holding matches without spectators imposed up to the date of publication of this notice or imposed during the period referred to in the first paragraph is suspended until February 12, 2024.
2. For the period of paragraph 1, the issuance of tickets to the visiting team is prohibited
a) in the football matches of the Greek Cup and in the friendly matches, provided that the visiting team takes part in the professional championship of the A1 men’s national team (Super League 1) of the season 2023-2024, and
b) at football matches of the professional championship of the national men’s category A2 (Super League 2) season 2023-2024 and at friendly matches if the visiting team is put together and maintained as a B team within the meaning of paragraph (c) of paragraph 1 During the application of this regulation up to ten (10) representatives of the visiting team are permitted to enter the stands of the stadium in accordance with paragraph 1, paragraphs 2 and 3.
3. By joint decision of the Minister responsible for Sport and the Minister for Citizen Protection, a ban on ticket sales and the presence of spectators at football matches in Union club competitions may be imposed for the period referred to in paragraph 1 for compelling reasons to protect public order and security European Football Associations (UEFA), when a Greek team is the home team, and to provide for the maximum number of representatives of the teams allowed to enter the stands of the stadium.
4. In the event of ticket sales or the presence of spectators in violation of the prohibitions of paragraphs 1, 2 and 3, the PAE will be imposed, by decision of the competent minister, the exclusion from the professional championship of the national category A1 Men (Super League 1) for the 2023-2024 season.
5. By February 12, 2024, the results of the implementation of this Regulation will be evaluated in order to consider extending its application in the event that the legal conditions for the safe holding of football matches are not fully complied with and there is a risk of endangering life and the physical integrity of the participants as well as public order and safety.
