Mel arrived in Heraklion and introduced himself as the new coach of OFI
Pepe Mel is the new coach of OFI and on Thursday afternoon (December 14th) he arrived in Heraklion on behalf of the Cretans.
OFI is entering a Pepe Mel era. The 60-year-old Spanish coach arrived in Heraklion on Thursday afternoon (December 14) at around 5:30 p.m. to officially conclude his agreement with the Cretans.
In fact, Pepe Mel will be introduced by the OFI people on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Jedi Koule press room and he will immediately get to work for the game against Aris (17/12, 3:00 p.m.).
Mel has an impressive CV and has sat on the bench at, among others, Getafe, Rayo, Betis, West Brom, Deportivo La Coruna and Las Palmas.
The first half of last season took place in Malaga. He has played 580 games in his career.
