OFI introduced Mel: “I really believe in making it to the playoffs”
Pepe Mel is the trainer of OFI and with the bull, with the Spanish technician being introduced to the press at the Jeti Koule.
OFI announced the hiring of Pepe Mel. The Spanish coach presented himself at a press conference in Geddy Koule, he spoke about his agreement with the Cretans, his philosophy and his goals.

The 60-year-old technician (born February 28, 1963) has written his own history in the two highest football leagues in Spain with almost 600 appearances in La Liga and La Liga 2 and has also worked as a coach in the Premier League West Bromwich Albion, but also with appearances in the UEFA Europa League on the bench of Real Betis, with whom he even won the La Liga 2 championship twice (2010-11 & 2014-15).
He has also taken over the technical management of Deportivo La Coruna, Malaga, Las Palmas, Rayo Vallecano, Real Murcia and Tenerife, among others.
In addition to his successful appearances on the bench of the teams he has taken over as coach, Pepe Mel has proven throughout his career that he is a coach who values the development of young footballers. 35 players under the age of 20 have made professional debuts under his guidance.
