Without Djuricic and against Atromitos, Panathinaikos, Verbic is alive
Filip Djuricic will also miss Sunday’s (December 17) game against Atromitos, while Verbic missed training on Friday due to a virus.
After the painful exclusion of Panathinaikos from European competition, the Greens trained for a difficult game against Atromitos in Peristeri on Sunday (December 17th).
Instead of reducing Ivan Jovanovic’s absences, they actually increased because, in addition to Djuricic, Verbic also did not take part in training due to a virus. The Serbian midfielder will miss the game against Atromitos, while the Slovenian’s chances are divided and it all depends on whether he takes part in Saturday’s training or not.
The corresponding press release states:
“Panathinaikos football players trained in two groups on Friday morning. Those who started the game against Maccabi Haifa completed a recovery program.
The rest began with a warm-up, continued with ball circulation drills and ended with a limited game. Djuricic, Magnuson and Palmer-Brown received treatment while Verbic was ruled out with a virus.
