Lucescu: “I was worried after a European game and wanted a win in a difficult place”
Lucescu, in his first comments after PAOK’s win over Asteras, focused on his players’ concentration and how much he wanted the three points in a traditionally difficult venue.
PAOK beat Asteras in Tripoli by a 4-1 margin and Razvan Lucescu focused his first commentary on his players’ concentration and how much they wanted the three points in a traditionally difficult venue.
“I didn’t celebrate much, except for the win and the three points. After a European game I was worried that my team would be focused so we could do what we needed to do and we did it. Tripoli is also traditionally a strong base for all opponents and I definitely wanted to win.”
Regarding the fact that Tyson-Zivkovic’s absence had not played a role, he argued:
“That is the basic requirement that the players play for a team and subordinate themselves to its needs.”
