Superleague
PAOK is back in first place for the first time in 791 days
PAOK topped the table after playing more than two games in the season for the first time since October 2021.
PAOK, by defeating Asteras in Tripoli, overtook Panathinaikos, who were defeated by Atromitos in Peristeri, and will wait to see what AEK will do in their game against Panaitolikos to know if they will be first after the 14th game of the league.
This is the first time since October 2021 that Razvan Lucescu’s side have topped the table at an advanced stage of the regular season.
Then, on the 17th of the month, he defeated OFI in Crete 3-1 and at the end of the 5th matchday he was in first place with Volos, whom he could not defeat on the next matchday in Toumba and remained in a 4th place :4 Draw
Since then, PAOK have not been in first place, except in the first two games of the following seasons, with many roommates and a goal difference not in their favor.
Without Zivkovic and with Kifissia
Be that as it may, and since the differences between the top teams are small, Dikefalos wants to end 2023 victorious by winning the last away game against Kifisia in Athens on Thursday (21/12).
Although, as everything shows, Andrija Zivkovic will not compete again because he did not complete the mission to Tripoli due to feeling unwell.
The next training sessions will show whether Lucescu will have Tyson available, who also stayed in Thessaloniki and missed the game against Asteras.
