The second vice-president of AEK, Alexis Alexiou, described the measure of holding games without spectators as unfair during the meeting of the Super League teams with the relevant ministers and emphasized that the Union is ready to have fans in its stadium from now on to play .

The Greek government, as part of its measures to combat violence, has decided to continue the football activities of the Stoiximan Super League teams with closed stadiums until February 12, which left the teams unhappy.

In fact, at the meeting on the occasion of the measures announced by the government, which was attended by the relevant ministers with teams from the highest football category, the vice-president of AEK Alexis Alexiou spoke of an unfair measure and made it clear that the yellow and black now have the opportunity to play games with people in the stands.

“For us, I think the horizontal measure of banning the operation of all stadiums with people is a bit unfair. AEK is ready to play normally with humans from now on. At least I was positive about the measures, but I said that every team is ready to play with people,” Significantly, the Union’s second vice-president stressed that he added:

If you ask us to, we will be ready to implement them tomorrow too. Any field that is currently ready can be checked. If it responds and it turns out that there is no reason to install machines or modify existing ones, it will be unfair to remain closed until February 12th.

It is something that affects not only AEK, but also every other team that is ready. The stadiums that meet the government’s requirements must be opened and the games must be played with people.”
