The City of Athens approved the tender plan for the developer of the stadium in Votanikos

Until the final contracts have been drawn up between the Athens City Council, the banks and the amateur Panathinaikos and the decisive General Assembly of the AO Committee, which will decide on the acceptance of the overall “Double Regeneration” project, the City Council will prepare the ground for the auction for the contractor, who will build the new football stadium in the Votanikos area.

Shortly before Christmas 2021, the Athens City Council approved the plan for the international competition, which will identify the contractor for the construction of the new football arena and the accompanying work around it.

Because in order to be able to carry out a state tender, studies and a few other procedural questions must be preceded, which are now entering the final phase.

The municipal council approved the proposal of the economic committee with a total cost of 600,000 euros for all preparatory procedures and studies of the auction, at the same time the RIS has already approved the increase in the construction fund for the football stadium from 89.2 million euros to 115 million euros including VAT.
