Jovanovic: “We had the game completely under control but we missed the last pass”
Ivan Jovanovic told COSMOTE TV that Panathinaikos controlled the game with Olympiakos but the Clover players lacked the final pass to complete the stages.
Panathinaikos drew 0-0 with Olympiakos in the derby, with both sides creating minimal stages at both hosts.
In his statements to COSMOTE TV, Ivan Jovanovic explained, among other things, that his team enforced its rhythm in the second half, but was not correct in the last pass.
Details of what Ivan Jovanovic said: “It’s not the result we expected and wanted. It was not an easy game against a very well organized side in suspension. The game wasn’t that good in the first half, it was more regular, neither team had a rhythm, there weren’t any phases.
In the second half we imposed our rhythm on the field but we lacked the final pass to do more. I can’t complain about the mood of our players on the pitch. Sure we could have been better, but the kids tried very hard.
To win a game you need phases. “We had complete control of the game, we weren’t in any danger but we just missed the last bit, the last collaboration to complete the attack.”
