PAOK are pushing for Filipe Soares in the Moreirense midfielder market

Moreirense moves in the market to acquire a midfielder which helps PAOK in their bid to acquire Filipe Soares.

At a time when PAOK are negotiating with them to take over Filipe Soares, the Portuguese are looking for reinforcements in the axis of their midfield

Moreirense may take a firm stance in negotiations with PAOK for Filipe Soares with hefty financial demands of €4m but that doesn’t mean the Portuguese have turned down Dikefalos’ interest.

The opposite is probably the case, because their staying at the negotiating table shows that they want to secure the highest possible financial price for the young instrument.

According to reports from Portugal, Moreirense has already expressed interest in taking on Zaragoza’s Cameroonian central midfielder James Igbekeme, even on loan until the end of this season.

Determined to strengthen in midfield

It’s not entirely clear that the Portuguese’s attempt to sign another player for their midfield is linked to the Soares transfer and is a way to placate Sa Pinto.

What is certain is that the Moreirense coach was the one who had the most objections to the transfer of Felipe Soares when Dikefalos’ interest arose.

In any case, PAOK seems determined to strengthen their midfield with a midfielder with different qualities than the players already in their squad, fulfilling Razvan Lucescu’s suggestion.

The fact that the sporting director of Biceps Jose Boto gave Ivan Savvidis the okay to acquire a midfielder in January with a transfer and even high costs shows that the dates in Toumba have changed.
