The freedom demanded by Bakakis, Insua and AEK’s opponent
AEK are trying to break away from the contracts of two extreme defenders, Michalis Bakakis and Emanuel Insua, but the cases are being delayed due to disagreements over fundamental issues.
Since the end of December, AEK has been looking for a way to get rid of the contracts and services of Michalis Bakakis and Emanuel Insua. And although there is a constant feeling that in the end the way will be found to separate the team’s paths of the two footballers, which are clearly not counted in the plans of Argyris Giannikis, we arrived on January 19 and the golden section is it not been found yet.
As for the Greece international defender, the side’s treatment of him for a few months hasn’t helped sell him to a club abroad. That’s the development AEK would like, but the fact that they’ve only played two second-team games by their own volition complicates the situation given that it’s essentially a player who has been inactive for many months.
At the same time, since the team doesn’t count on him, Bakakis himself prefers the path of freedom to loan. And we mention that because he was offered to play in Lamia until the end of the summer, which at least the international defender allegedly turned down in the first phase. Although both sides will try to find the team he will continue his career in until the last day of the winter transfer window, it is possible that February will come and the player will stay in the squad.
AEK are not talking about a transfer while he still has a contract until the summer of 2023, especially as he is very much circulating on the transfer market that Panathinaikos will be interested in him in such a case. Whether it’s valid or not is a condition that makes AEK think.
The difference to the Argentine and the “golden” section
Insua’s case is very different. The Argentine left-back, with a contract worth 400,000 a year until the summer of 2033, has found the next step in his career and is in his homeland. Velez Sarsfield’s agents have publicly admitted that they have reached an agreement with the footballer on condition that he remains free from AEK. However, at this point there is a significant difference in the economic part.
Insua, who has a big contract anyway to feel the slightest uncertainty, seeks compensation to leave the Union. For their part, AEK, knowing that the footballer has already reached an agreement with another club, not only do not want to pay the footballer a release clause, but also demand an amount from their side so that the Argentine can be sold to his next team. . Or even stop asking for extra money and compromise to go with no financial bleeding on either side.
In truth, there is irritation at the highest level that both of these cases are long overdue and partially blocking the team’s tight financial capacity for the current transfer window as it is apparent that PAE is trying to save as much more money as possible from contracts signed for they are “weights”.
The executives who conducted these negotiations are called upon to be more efficient in the coming days, since in the situation AEK has again found itself in, everyone will be judged. In the football department, but also above.
