Olympiacos is among the top 15 teams of 2021 according to IFFHS
The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) announced the teams’ ranking for 2021, with Olympiakos climbing to 21st place.
Olympiacos had a very good 2021 and this was reflected in the annual ranking published by International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). Specifically, the red and white rose from 28th to 15th place among the top teams of the past year.
Pedro Martins’ team has been overtaken by clubs such as Roma, Monaco, Liverpool and Villarreal while being close to Manchester United (13th), Juventus (12th) and Paris Saint-Germain (11th).
PAOK and AEK were relegated but remained on the top 400 teams list. Dikefalos fell to 71st (50th) while the Union fell to 219th (62nd).
Palmeiras emerged as the top team and is the first team from Brazil to reach the top of the IFFHS rankings. Atletico Mineiro finished 2nd while Manchester City finished in the top three.
