Vatslik was injured in a collision with Manolas in training

Tomas Vatslik injured his head after a collision with Costas Manolas in training on Friday (21/01) but is expected to play in Sunday’s match between Olympiakos and PAS Giannina (23/01, 19:30, NOVASPORTS PRIME, LIVE Sportish ).

Something unexpected happened in Olympiakos training on Friday (21/01) when Thomas Vatslik collided with Costas Manolas during the program and particularly during the tactical drills, injuring the former’s head.

Olympiakos medical staff immediately provided first aid to the Czech goalkeeper and doctor Christos Theos sewed him up with a bruise on his head (8 stitches).

The international footballer showed clinical signs of a concussion, after which he was taken to the Metropolitan Hospital for further imaging tests, which came back negative.

Nevertheless, Vatslik is expected to play for Sunday’s game at “G. Karaiskakis” against PAS Giannina (23.1., 7:30 p.m., NOVASPORTS PRIME, LIVE Sportish) for his 19th game Superliga Interwetten.
