PAOK achieved two consecutive away wins 4-0 after 46 years, while Aris failed to score in four official games after 13 years. “Asferos” was also last January.

PAOK prevailed 4-0 in Volos, the same result as Ioannina played in the away game immediately preceding. It’s not common for PAOK to have back-to-back big points wins and to find a 4-0 in a row you have to go back 46 years when they beat Panionios 4-0 on December 14, 1975 and 4-0 on December 1976 with same score Olympia.

According to the Super League website, PAOK have recently scored nine goals in two away games but the wins haven’t had that range. It was in May 2000 when he defeated Apollo 4-3 in Rizoupoli and 5-3 in Trikala.

Mars bulletless in January

Aris has given three championship games since early 2022 and found no nets. This is the second time in a row that he has been “empty” in three games in January, as has happened in the past year, not at the beginning of the month, of course, but in it. He started goalless with Lamia, scoring in Volos and the three without a goal followed.

If we count the trophy, Aris hasn’t scored in four official ones. Something like this has been happening since 2009, back in January (!) when he went seven competitive games without a goal.
