Ionian: Platellas returned to Nice
Vangelis Platellas is back at Ionikos, PAE announced on Tuesday.
THAT Vangelis Platellas will wear the Ionian shirt again after returning to Nice after half a season, as he did at such a point last year.
The 33-year-old midfielder was first signed in January 2021 and was instrumental in the club’s promotion to the Super League Interwetten. This season he was in Xanthi, but now he’s back in Ionikos.

PAE Ionikos is pleased to announce that Vangelis Platellas has returned to our team.
Vangelis was one of the key cogs in Dimitris Spanos’ team that finished first last season and earned their return to the top flight of the Greek Championship.
The 33-year-old midfielder joined Ionikos in the middle of last season and has recorded 3 goals and shared 4 assists in 19 appearances.
Vangelis Platellas had started his career in Kallithea where he signed his first professional contract, followed by Xanthi, AEK, Atromitos, Aris, OFI, Neftsi Baku, Larissa, Ionikos and Xanthi again.
