In his statements to NOVA, Ingi Ingasson explained, among other things, that PAOK could score more goals in the first half against Olympiakos and that the team gave everything to win.

Ingi Ingasson told NOVA that PAOK was very good in the first half and that he could have scored a goal or two more in the first half against Olympiakos.

At the same time, he referred to the reasons why Dikefalos “blocked” in the second half, but also in his future, where he once again stated that he likes to play for PAOK.

Details of what Ingason told NOVA: About the game: I think we were good in the first half, we created a lot of chances and Olympiakos had a lot of problems. We should have scored a goal or two in the first half. Important that they scored goals at that point. The game was more difficult in the second half.”.

Because what changed in the second half and PAOK’s performance fell: I think Olympiacos changed their system, put more players in midfield and made it harder for us.

We were able to position ourselves better, but we lacked calm and composure in the last pass. We ruined our efforts in the last third of the field. The fact that we put on a lot of pressure in the first half cost us a lot of energy“.

For the defensive part which is not as good as winning the championship: “ΣIt was definitely something that bothered us, although we’ve been improving lately.

Today Olympiakos didn’t create any chances, they scored the goal they scored. PAOK did what it had to do to win but it ended 1-1. We are dealing with a top-class opponent. We’ve closed the gap lately, we won’t give up. Anything can happen in the playoffs“.

For his chance at 7‘: “I think I did everything right. Vatslik is a top goalkeeper. He managed to parry. I was disappointed because I could muster more strength. Vatslik succeeded and hit back“.

For his future: “I’ve always said I’m happy at PAOK. It’s a wonderful club. I think it’s a good question for management. We have a lot of games ahead of us, so I’m concentrating on that“.
