Olympiacos are looking to transfer a staff midfielder, while contacts have been made to take on an attacker and a centre-back. According to the red-whites, there is no talk of taking over the South Korean Yi Jo Huang.

Olympiacos is pushing ahead with his moves to further strengthen his squad. According to the Red and Whites, they are in negotiations about taking on a staff midfielder, while there are also contacts for an attacker and a central defender. However, as far as the attack is concerned, from PAE’s point of view it became clear that there is no interest in it South Korean Yi Jo Hwang.

As for the attacking midfielder, the Piraeus seem to be aiming for an 8-10. Corberan reportedly prefers a creative Coyado-style player but he’s on loan to Elche, who found himself at Barcelona. The Spanish coach does not want the classic 10, but an explosive, fast player who will move in many areas of the field. Information suggests that Olympiacos are in contact with two midfielders from the Spanish market and another outside of Iberia.

On the striker side, after the transfer from Tiquinio to Botafogo, the Red and Whites are looking for a mobile striker who can also move outside the wide field. The Englishman was contacted by Joe Huard a few hours ago on a loan deal via Nottingham Forest which will see him suspended from Bordeaux but this is not confirmed by Olympiakos.

In the last 24 hours, Keita Balde, released from Cagliari, has been proposed to Piraeus PAE. The 27-year-old Senegalese international, who was born in Spain, plays as a center forward and winger. Balde took his first steps in football at Barcelona Academy and then played for Lazio, Monaco, Inter Milan and Sampdoria.

Also, the Red-Whites are considering the transfer of a centre-back (they have been offered 32-year-old Spaniard Alvaro Gondaleth, who has been released from Marseille), while the possibility of acquiring a left-back and a goalkeeper remains open.

From there, Conrad de la Fuente had his first training session at Rentis on Saturday (December 8th). The American winger followed an individual program and completed additional exercises. Embila and Ba, a bit unwell after the second leg against Slovan, trained normally with the rest of the team.
