Mukudi: “My goal is to win the championship with AEK and play in the Champions League”
Arnold Mukudi gave an interview to a French midfielder and explained, among other things, that his goal with AEK was to win the championship and take part in the Champions League.
THE Arnold Mukudi In an interview with 90 Football he mentioned, among other things, the reasons why he left for Saint-Etienne, but also his goals with AEK, which include winning the Super League and taking part in the Champions League while progressing through the Union aspires to find at the World Cup in Qatar.
What Mukudi said in detail: “I was preparing with St Etienne and one day I came back from training and my agent called me to say there was some interest from AEK and they want me to sign as soon as possible.
We talked about it and I was excited from the start, the manager wanted me fast, I thought it was a great goal, a good club and a new challenge. I have one goal in mind, namely to become champions with my new team and to be able to play in the Champions League. I knew from the start that in order to play at the World Cup, I had to leave Saint-Etienne and join a club that played at a higher level.
Since the end of last season I’ve been telling myself I have to go, I wasn’t at my best level last year. I know what I’m capable of, there was also the club feeling, which wasn’t good, and it’s going on. I knew I needed a change of scenery.
I said to some of the players who are still at the club that, for the good of everyone, you have to come up with something and change the scenery. It could only be good. We’ve lived with the same team for almost three years, of course there’s a team that’s wearing off, if I may use the word“.
