Panathinaikos sent … SMS from Heraklion to all competitors
Kostas Goulis writes about Panathinaikos, who didn’t want to give their opponent “gifts” and sent a message to the competition with their victory in Heraklion.
Old-time victory. With comfort, style, quality and a bright eye. From a Panathinaikos who wasn’t in the mood to give the opponent “gifts” this time, and – mainly – the way the match started, he showed he wouldn’t allow anyone to… sweat steal.
Victory with abbreviated procedures, on one of the most difficult courses where the greens have suffered many times in recent years. It took almost 7.5 years for Panathinaikos to win, beating OFI with a double by Gendi Koule, but this time it looked very easy.
And most importantly, he made sure that he sends a very nice SMS from Heraklion to all his competitors from matchday 2 of the championship. Writing on the “message” that this year is different. Because he already has a very good team and will build a great team (when the transfers are completed, Bernard “enters” the competitive equation and the injured return).
Its quality and its trainer
No one can say from now on when the end of the year will be. Yes, the world of Panathinaikos is already starting to dream of a championship after so many years of drought, but the best thing for the whole organization of the “Cloverleaf” is to avoid big mouths and just look at the game each week in front of their team.
The quality Panathinaikos has now can take them to the end. Along with the man at the end of his bench.
Quality made the difference in Heraklion. On the first occasion OFI’s defense caught, Panathinaikos beat him without a morning. “Diabetes” from “Professor” Ruben Perez to Palasios, amazing conclusion to “Touko”. This time he couldn’t turn the tide.
Finally he (again) found a forward killer
Another excellent release, Sporar “stab” the ball and the modest ceremony was over in the 33rd minute. I think that even the last person involved with Panathinaikos now understands why the ‘Cloverleaf’ needed such a striker so badly.
A killer who will contest his matches with such center forward goals. And finally it turns out that he found him (again) in the face of the Slovenian. An excellent striker who does a lot on the pitch. And where should Bernard enter the “10” to do even more for him. simple life.
You always pay to reach the goal. And Panathinaikos paid well this summer and it seems that they paid it right. With a player who won the game against Ionikos (thanks to his energy and the penalty he won himself) and cleaned up in the game against OFI on Sunday evening (28/8). Well done…
Ruben Perez is a gem
It doesn’t take a lot of words, just focus on the next goal. But a mention has to go to the amazing Ruben Perez who played another amazing game and taught how to play the ‘6’ position.
Not just because he “fed” Palacios at 0-1, but because he is Jovanovic’s “coach” on the pitch. The Spaniard is a gem for Panathinaikos but also for Greek football.
Continuing with Levadeiakos to do the “3X3” before the big game of 4th game vs AEK at Leoforos and just work. Panathinaikos sends more SMS to its competitors. Let him continue to mind his own business and bore others… missed calls everywhere.
On Sunday evening, Pantelis Vlachopoulos, together with Themis Kaisaris, Charlie and Pantelis Diamantopoulos, commented on the national team’s victory against Belgium and the events of the second matchday.
