In Athens Retsos for Olympiacos
Panagiotis Retsos arrived in Greece on Monday morning (29/08) to complete his transfer to Olympiakos.
Panagiotis Retsos’ return to Olympiacos is in its final stages as the 24-year-old Greek international defender arrived in Greece in the early hours of Monday (29/08) to complete his move to the Red and Whites. On Sunday (28 August), the right-footed player was on the bench in the Serie A duel between Hellas Verona and Atalanta.
Retsos saw the prospect of a return to the red and white positive from the first moment. He knows the team well, his philosophy, the dressing room, he doesn’t need time to adapt.
It is recalled that the 24-year-old stopper was one of Olympiakos’ most expensive sales (he was transferred to Bayer Leverkusen in August 2017 for €17,500,000) and has also played for Sheffield United and Saint Etienne in the last five years.
From January 2022 he will belong to Hellas Verona, with whom he has a contract until the summer of 2023.
