53-year-old Spaniard Raul Caneda is Karipides’ chosen man for Aris Bank
Raoul Kaneda is the chosen one by Theodoros Karipides to replace Herman Burgos on the Aris bench. He has also worked with Olympiacos coach Carlos Corberan.
Aris has found a new coach following the impending completion of his partnership with Herman Burgos Raul Caneda to replace him. The agreement between the two sides is valid for two years and his arrival in Thessaloniki is expected in the next few days.
The 53-year-old Spanish manager has been without a team since September 2020 when his partnership with Khor Faqan (Team United Arab Emirates) ended. He left the team for health reasons due to the coronavirus.
In the past he has sat on the benches of Umm Shalal, Al Nasr and Al Ittihad as head coach. Before starting his career as head coach, he was a direct associate of Juanma Lillo, Pep Guardiola’s former assistant at Manchester City. Kaneda worked as a scout as Guardiola’s outside partner in 2017.
Lijo is considered the “father” of 4-2-3-1, but Kaneda has used the 4-3-3 primarily in his career as a first coach.
It is noted that the Kaneda previously had Carlos Corberan as his partner when the Olympiakos coach was assistant to Aris’ new manager at Al Nasr.
