In France, French left-back Jordan Amavi is believed to be a deal for the Red and Whites in a loan-buy option from Marseille. It is possible that he will come to Greece tomorrow (08/31).

Olympiacos proceed with the takeover of Jordan Amavi from Marseille. In France, the 28-year-old left-back’s move to the Red-Whites is taken for granted, with the country’s biggest media citing an agreement between Marseille and Piraeus PAE. In fact, it is very likely that he will come to Greece on Wednesday (08/31) to complete his move to the Red-Whites.

According to the French, both sides have joined forces for the annual loan from Amavi with a €2m purchase option next summer. In the case of the latter, some reports speak of an optional and others of a mandatory option when it comes to achieving the goal. However, there is currently no official or unofficial Olympiakos position for the veteran full-back.

Born in Toulon, France, Amavi of Senegalese descent is under contract with Marseille until the summer of 2025 and currently has a market value of 6,000,000 euros. He has 244 appearances, 7 goals and 15 assists in his career and played in all the small teams of the France national team and reached Elpidon. Didier Deschamps called him up for the men’s national team in October 2017 but did not use him in the games against Bulgaria and Belarus.

Jordan Kevin Amavi, as his full name is, took his first steps in football in Toulon and joined Nice U-19 team at the age of 16. He played two seasons in the Nice first team (69 games, 4 goals) and was sold to Aston Villa in the summer of 2015 for €11,000,000. He played two seasons in the English team (48 games, 4 assists) and was transferred to Marseille (127 appearances, 3 goals, 11 assists).

Initially, the Marseille team gave Aston Villa 2,000,000, and in the next period they paid 10,000,000 euros and acquired its rights. In the second half of last season, Amavi was loaned out to Nice (played in 13 games) as he wasn’t in Jorge Sampaoli’s options and now he comes to Greece for Olympiakos, also on loan after not being in Igor Tudor’s plans.

With the French footballer’s impending acquisition, Olympiacos have Amavi, Reabciuk, Koutris, Leidner and Kitso available for left-back.
