Panathinaikos: Giannis Kalitzakis new general manager in the 2nd team
Giannis Kalitzakis returned to Panathinaikos and took over the duties of general manager in the second team.
After almost 12 years, Giannis Kalitzakis is back in the Panathinaikos family after taking over the duties of General Manager in the 2nd team, confirming Sportish and Petros Papamakariou’s report.
The corresponding announcement in detail: “PAE Panathinaikos announces the start of its collaboration with a member of Trifyllio’s family, Giannis Kalitzakis, who will immediately take over the duties of General Manager in the 2nd team.
Giannis Kalitzakis – in two days he will be 56 years old – wore the jersey of Panathinaikos (1987 – 1997) for a decade and recorded 259 appearances in the championship and 345 in all competitions, being among the first 15 appearances of all time history by Trifillio ! ‘Ninja’ as he was nicknamed, won 4 leagues, 6 cups, 3 super cups with Panathinaikos and of course he was a key member of the team that reached the Champions League final in 1995/96 season.
In 2009 he returned to Panathinaikos as a member of the scouting department, a position he held for a year.
