Officially at 50% capacity in the stadiums, with spectators in masks in the stands

The occupancy rate of the stadiums rose to 50%, as formalized on Saturday (19/02) by the government gazette, which announced the details for minors and the mandatory use of a mask for all spectators in the stands.

Last Wednesday (February 16), the expert committee of the Ministry of Health gave the green light to increase the capacity utilization of the stadiums to 50 percent.

At the same time, he announced that only those who have been fully vaccinated and those who have been ill in the last three months will be allowed access to the stadiums, while the use of a mask will be mandatory.

The Official Gazette states: “The presence of spectators at individual and team sports competitions, in open and sports facilities, with an occupancy of up to 50% of the capacity is allowed:

– Spectators can only visit fully vaccinated or sick spectators in the last quarter according to § 9 paragraph 2.3 and up to five percent of the permitted number of spectators for unvaccinated and not sick minors.

Minors will enter with a certificate of negative diagnostic test (PCR or rapid test) as referred to in Article 9, paragraphs 2 and 3, or with a statement of negative self-diagnostic self-test carried out on the day of the race.

“The use of a mask is mandatory throughout the stay on the field.”
