AEK B’ – Progressive 3-0: Second win for the Union as Nikopolidis made his debut for Korydallos’ team
AEK B defeated Proodevtis 3-0 in the debut of Antonis Nikopolides on the bench of Korydallos team. Daiko, Skondras and Pavlas’ own goal gave Sokratis Ofrydopoulos’ team the three points.
AEK B earned their second Super League 2 win, beating Progressive 3-0 in Serafeidio. Antonis Nikopolidis made his debut with his left hand on the Korydallos team’s bench. In fact, Marios Mitai, a former AEK soccer player who played at AEK B’ last season, was also found in Spata.
Union was better overall and took the lead with an unlikely own goal. After a left turn, Pavlas sent the ball into Karargyris’ net in his attempt to clear the ball.
In the 67th minute, the players scored another goal with Daiko. After a corner kick from the left, the young stopper jumped to the front post and sent the ball into the net with a fine header.
In the final, the pace of play slowed as Progressive narrowly threatened Hatziemmanouil’s shots, and the 2-0 lead continued to the end.
On the contrary, Union had a few chances and added the icing on the cake with Spyros Skondras in added time. Koromilas passed the ball to him and the young midfielder sent the ball in with a nice shot.
AEK B grabbed eight points while Progressive stayed below the relegation zone with three points.
